Become certified as a Canine Aquatic PetMassage Practitioner.

5-day hands-on program: Thursday-Monday, 9 AM to 4 PM.

This on-site hands-on workshop is held at the PetMassage School Natatorium in Toledo, Ohio, USA.

Home Study Courses in the Canine Aquatic PetMassage Program:

  • Basic Anatomy of the Dog
  • Confident Dog Handling for the Canine Massage Practitioner

Course content is focused on

  • skills and applications
  • session elements, sequences and protocols
  • assessment skills
  • advanced elements, sequences and applications for therapeutic aquatic canine massage
  • incorporating dry PetMassage skills and techniques to dogs on a submerged platform in the water
  • indications and contraindications
  • body mechanics

  • basic canine anatomy as it applies to your aquatic canine massage practice
  • pools and their mechanics
  • legal practice
  • marketing
  • and experiencing the joy of working with dogs and fellow colleagues in and with the water

Advanced PetMassage Aquatics for Dogs 2 Day Workshop

Canine Aquatic PetMassage physical manipulation is based on the science and understanding of dog structure (anatomy) and function (physiology).

Objectives:

By the completion of the workshop you will understand and confidently return demonstrate PetMassage aquatic skills for the 8 primary specific applications of veterinary rehabilitation support.

Home study courses: 1

To be completed 1 week prior to the hands- on workshop at the PetMassage pool in Toledo Ohio.

Home study 1: Dog Anatomy and Physiology for Focused Aquatic Work.

Certificate of Completion: PetMassage Aquatic Hydrotherapy Skills for Canine Wellness and Rehabilitative Support

Prerequisite: Canine Aquatic PetMassage workshop
